Revelation given by Maestro on January 12, 2006

With regard to the authority of John the Baptist and also of the baptism of Jesus.  

Baptism, that takes away the sins from men, is it from God?

Who gave John the Baptist the authority to baptize?

Is baptism allowed by God?  Is there an instruction from God that allowed John to baptize people?  Maestro Evangelista says: for us to know the truth about Jesus in the Holy Bible, let us read what is written:

He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."
Luke 24:44 (NIV)

Did Jesus tell us to consult in the books of the apostles?  The answer is NO!  So if you would believe the apostles more than the prophets, it is clear who is far from the truth.

Jesus has said it before, and it is the religions that had distorted his message.  Even before Jesus was born, prophecies were already given, regarding his coming:

When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.
He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.  I will be his father, and he will be my son.  When he does wrong, I will punish him with the rod of men, with floggings inflicted by men.
II Samuel 7:12-14 (NIV)

So by the prophecy given, this is the work of Jesus, and there is a condition given. If he is successful in his mission, he will be given the privilege of being called with a special title of a “son of God,” though he is a “son of David.”  There are no promises given aside from what has been prophesied.  When the apostles and the religions say “Jesus is the only begotten son of God sent and by his death our sins are forgiven,” without reading the whole prophecy from the prophets which explains the cause of Jesus’ sins and his early death, we were deceived.

As an example: if people have committed sins against you, would you send your only begotten son to them, to suffer and die so that the people who committed sins against you would be forgiven?  The answer is a clear NO!  How much more with God?  It is beyond reason that one would do it. 

The religions say that Jesus is a “son of God” but he is born of a woman.  The religions also say Jesus is without sin.  Let us read in the Holy Bible if a man born of a woman is truly without sin:

How then can a man be righteous before God?
How can one born of woman be pure?  If even the moon is not bright

and the stars are not pure in his eyes, how much less man, who is but

a maggot - a son of man, who is only a worm!"
Job 25:4-6 (NIV)

No man can say that he is without sin or has not committed any sin, even Jesus, who is born of a woman.

That is why in the prophecy, a condition was given, “When he does wrong, I will punish him…” meaning Jesus is capable of committing sin.  That is the reason for the reminder… and we have read that he was indeed flogged and punished, because he committed sin.  This was never thought of by the religions.

A question was given to Maestro Eraño M. Evangelista regarding John the Baptist who also testified on Jesus: “I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God.” (John1:34)

If John the Baptist, with his teaching of baptism, is truly obeying God, how come he was executed and beheaded at the behest of a dancer?  Surely if John the Baptist is a man of God, and is obeying Him, he would have been saved by God!  But it didn’t happen.

What about the prophets in the Old Testament, who were sent by God; let us take the story of Daniel as an example:

At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions' den.  When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?"  Daniel answered, "O king, live forever!  My God sent his angel and he shut the mouths of the lions.  They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king."  The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den.  And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

This is the story of a man who is righteous, who obeys God.  Salvation means life, not death. So the stories of people giving up or sacrificing their lives for another "in the name of Jesus" to prove their faith in God in the New Testament were all in vain.  It was not proof of faith to the one true God, but to a god whom they have not known.  The Holy Bible is for the living, not for the dead.

The claim of the religions that a beloved “son of God” was sent to die a horrifying death for the forgiveness of sins of all is blasphemy to God!  God saves his people who are obedient and faithful.

Like the religions’ claim that Jesus saves; can a man save another for his sins to God?

Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children

put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.
Deuteronomy 24:16 (NIV)

Even our parents are not allowed by God to take up our sin and suffer the punishment.

Regarding John the Baptist: Can we find a prophecy in the Holy Bible regarding John’s mission to baptize people?  If we cannot find any prophecy, his authority to baptize is not from God.  In whose authority does he baptize?  Think.  You need understanding!

Regarding a comment given to Maestro Evangelista: You purport that Jesus pretended to be the “Son of God”.  What would be a better proof of his claim to being so than the words that came from heaven during Jesus’ baptism proclaiming “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” (Matt 3:17, Mark 1:11, Luke 3:22,).

Maestro’s answer to the question: Can we hear the voice of God?

and said to Moses, "Speak to us yourself and we will listen.

But do not have God speak to us or we will die."

For the apostles to say that they heard the voice of God is bereft of truth, because they lived to tell the story.  Therefore, the voice they heard is not from God.

If the apostles and the people did not die when the voice was heard, whose voice is it?  It is not from God because the people who heard it did not die.  If it is not from God, whose voice that has been heard saying: “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” and claiming to be the “father” of Jesus?

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire.  He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

It was Jesus who mentioned the Devil as “Father” – you will not find any other that had been named “father" in the New Testament like than the Devil.  So if Jesus always calls to a “father” – who was his father?

Regarding the authority of Jesus – healing the sick, performing miracles, driving out demons - where is it from?  Did his power come from God?

One day as he was teaching the people in the temple courts and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, together with the elders, came up to him. "Tell us by what authority you are doing these things," they said. "Who gave you this authority?"  He replied, "I will also ask you a question. Tell me, John's baptism - was it from heaven, or from men?"
They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask, 'Why didn't you believe him?'  But if we say, 'From men,' all the people will stone us, because they are persuaded that John was a prophet."
So they answered, "We don't know where it was from."
Jesus said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things."

No one can say during their time, that Jesus’ authority came from God, because Jesus did not reveal it to them.  The religions’ claim that his authority comes from God is pure speculation, not true.  The religions are indeed speculators.  This is the cause of the confusion and distortions on the true nature of Jesus from the very beginning.

Now Maestro asks, who promised the power and authority of the world to Jesus?

   Read in:

The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."
Luke 4:3 (NIV)

The Devil was challenging Jesus to turn the stone into bread; the Devil has the power to do it. Jesus did not have the power to do such a thing, simply because he is a man.  The Devil knew him fully, that he is not a "son of God;" and if Jesus was indeed the “son of God,” the Devil need not ask Jesus to prove himself otherwise, that would be an insult.  But how did Jesus answer the Devil?

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone.' "
Luke 4:4 (NIV)

Jesus answered the Devil indirectly, as if he had said he can’t do it.  The Devil knew he did not have the power that is why the Devil made an offer…

The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.
Luke 4:5-6 (NIV)

Satan won over Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and the couple were banished, not Satan.  The world was given to Satan, and if that was not true, Jesus would have corrected the Devil of its claim.  It was the Devil who promised the world to Jesus, what was the condition?

So if you worship me, it will all be yours."
Luke 4:7 (NIV)

Maestro Eraño M. Evangelista says: it is written in the Holy Bible; it was the Devil who offered the power and the glory of the world to Jesus.  For us to know if the offer was accepted, let us consider this hypothetical question:

Satan said the world was given to him, if he had offered and had given it to Jesus, is the world still with Satan?  No more. Where is it now?  It is with Jesus, the one who had received it.  Now, since Satan said the world was given to him, the world should call on Satan, but it is asked, to whom does the world pray to at present,?  Who do they all call on to?  Jesus!  Did he accept the offer of Satan or not?

He did accept the offer.

If you will also find that God promised Jesus the authority and splendor of the world aside from the Devil… that would be a contradiction.

The mission of Jesus was limited to the prophecy cited above, that he is sent only to his people.  Anything in addition to it will add up to his wrongdoing.  So if we will continue to believe and practice all the speculations and distortions on Jesus made by the religions, the curse that is upon the world will never end.
